Worksheet of the Week✏️
Back to school means lots of new things to see, learn, and talk about! This fun vocabulary worksheet helps little learners explore everyday words through familiar topics like pets, daily routines, feelings, fruits, weather, and more.
A simple screen-free activity to keep curious minds learning, while you enjoy a little quiet moment too. 💛

Bedtime Routine for School Nights🌙
Pediatric sleep experts agree on one thing: shift gradually, not overnight. A few tips pulled together for you:
Shift bedtime by 15 minutes every 2–3 nights until you hit the school-year target, a sudden jump leaves kids groggy and cranky. (source)
Start winding down 30–45 minutes before lights-out: dim the lights, put screens away, and move through the same sequence: bath, pajamas, one story, a quick cuddle. (source)
Reset mornings too: open the curtains or step outside first thing to help their internal clock catch up faster. (source)
Tuck in and leave the room staying until they fall asleep can make it harder for them to fall asleep solo later on. (source)
Count backward from wake-up time to find the right bedtime for your child. Let us know how it goes!

Story Time📖
When a hungry, fuzzy brown bear and a hive of angry bees come face to face, everybody's abuzz! Award-winning author Daniel Bernstrom and critically acclaimed illustrator Brandon James Scott have created a rowdy, rhythmic read-aloud that's also perfect for beginning readers.
This epic chase story features Bernstrom's signature alliterative wordplay and verbal pizzazz, along with Scott's expressive characters that jump off the pages. A Bear, a Bee, and a Honey Tree has the kind of high-energy, uninhibited playfulness that makes kids want to run, chase, find out something about bear and bee behavior—and learn to read!

Food for their little brain🧠
Join Dr. Binocs as he breaks down the ocean's layers from the sunlit surface down to the pitch-black Mariana Trench, in his classic fun, curious-kid style.
A great one for little ones fascinated by the deep sea and its mysterious creatures. Watch here

A Moment for You🌸
It's okay if the new routine doesn't click on night one. A recent piece on screen-free childhoods put it simply: cutting evening screen time helps kids fall asleep faster and rest deeper and that guide-rail benefits the whole house, not just them. (source) Consistency beats perfection. Take the win of just starting!

Answer is…

A dino-snore!
